Drawing on my Western heritage, I began making jewelry more than thirty years ago. I wanted to wear something I had made myself, particularly with stones that are found in the American West.
Quickly, other people in my life wanted something I had made. The idea of selling my creations caught fire when a high-end boutique opened in Arvada, Colorado that featured my work.
In the past few years, I’ve also found it very rewarding to teach jewelry making, give demonstrations of techniques at The Naja and provide personal instruction in my studio.
My work is very wearable, comfortable, and draws attention wherever it’s worn. Having clients come back for more of my jewelry has been deeply satisfying. I continue to explore, learn, and try new techniques and materials. Whatever the methods, I am always guided by my sense of simplicity and faithfulness to quality and refinement.
